TURKPA Secretary General meets with the Ambassadors of Azerbaijan and Türkiye in Vilnius

The Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) H.E. Ambassador Ramil Hasan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Tamerlan Garayev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkye, H.E. Ms. Esra Toplu, within his official visit to Vilnius, at their accredited diplomatic missions in Lithuania.

During both meetings, the TURKPA Secretary General expressed his gratitude to the Ambassadors of Azerbaijan and Türkiye for their comprehensive support in initiating and organizing the international panel discussion on “Enhancing Cooperation and Connectivity through the Organization of Turkic States – Opportunities for Closer Ties between the Turkic States and the Baltic Region.” He emphasized that such collaborative activities are of significant importance for the broad promotion of common interests in European countries and for the advancement of matters of mutual concern.

The Ambassadors, in turn, conveyed their appreciation to the TURKPA Secretary General and extended their best wishes for the future endeavors.

The meeting held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Lithuania was attended by a Member of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations and Member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Javanshir Feyziyev, and the meeting held at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Lithuania was also attended by the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Ömer Kocaman.

TURKPA Secretary General was accompanied by the Chief of Protocol Mr. Yadigar Mammadov.
