TURKPA Secretary General meets with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Austria and Permanent Representative to the OSCE and other international organizations

The Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), Ambassador Ramil Hasan, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the OSCE and other international organizations, H.E. Mr. Rovshan Sadigbeyli, during his official visit to Vienna. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on prospects for cooperation between TURKPA and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. They discussed the possibility of TURKPA obtaining observer status with the OSCE PA, as well as potential support that could be extended by member states in this regard. The prospects for TURKPA’s participation in the forthcoming meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council were as well discussed. The meeting, held in an official format, underscored the importance of continuing cooperation on issues of mutual interest. In turn, H.E. Rovshan Sadigbeyli, on behalf of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the OSCE, expressed readiness to extend full support to TURKPA in its cooperation with OSCE and OSCE PA, and wished the organization success in this endeavor. The meeting was also attended Deputy Secretary General Muhammet Alper Hayali, Commission Secretary Aynur Abutalibova, and Chief of Protocol Yadigar Mammadov.
