TURKPA Secretary General Hasan hosted TİKA President Eren at the Secretariat

On 30 October 2025, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), Ambassador Ramil Hasan hosted the President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Mr. Abdullah Eren at the TURKPA Headquarters. The visit took place on the occasion of Secretary General Hasan's assumption of office.
Advisor to the President of TİKA, Mr. Sefa Bekar, and TİKA Baku Program Coordinator, Mr. Hayrettin Özçelik, attended the meeting, which was also joined by TURKPA Deputy Secretaries General Talgat Aduov and Muhammet Alper Hayali, and Secretary of Commission Kadir Yaman.
During the meeting, which was held in a cordial atmosphere, Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan emphasized that they are developing new approaches to fulfill their responsibilities towards member parliaments on the legislative ground in a more functional manner. Secretary General Hasan shared the strong support they have received at the level of Parliamentary Speakers and relevant ministries for these proposals during official visits to member states.
In his speech, Secretary General Hasan highlighted the critical role TİKA undertakes in the Turkic world and its achievements. He congratulated President Eren on his new appointment and wished him outstanding success in his exceptionally important role.
TİKA President Mr. Eren also congratulated Ambassador Hasan on his duty as the TURKPA Secretary General. The TİKA President stated that he believes the Secretary General will make significant contributions to TURKPA, an institution he was involved in establishing, with the experience he has gained in other organizations.
During the meeting, a number of issues were considered that would deepen cooperation between the parties. In this context, international internship opportunities for capacity building of personnel, projects for sharing best practices and experiences in the legislative field among the parliaments of Turkic states, and the development of joint projects to effectively convey the agendas of the Turkic world to international public opinion were discussed.
