The Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States granted observer status to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking Countries (TURKPA)

The TURKPA application for granting observer status was reviewed in the 13th plenary session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States held in Abu- Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates on 18-19 January 2011. As a result of the positive opinion by the political committee, the application was brought to a vote and TURKPA was adopted to the PUIC as an observer. So, TURKPA entered the new stage of cooperation with the PUIC that is the 3rd authoritative organization after the IPU and OSCE PA.
