Secretary General met with Chief Advisor to the President of Türkiye

On 1 March 2022 Secretary General paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Yalçın Topçu, Chief Advisor to the President of Türkiye. Mr. Topçu congratulated Mr. Süreyya Er on assuming his office as TURKPA Secretary General and wished him success in his term. In his turn, expressing his gratitude for warm wishes, Mr. Er informed on the interaction among the member parliaments and ongoing activities of the Assembly. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation among Turkic States. Yalçın Topçu, a well-known cultural and political figure whose endeavors devoted to national ideals, served as an independent Minister of Culture and Tourism in the 63rd Government of the Republic of Türkiye before being appointed as the Chief Advisor to the current President.
