Secretary General attended IPU Assembly

TURKPA Secretary General Mr. Jandos Asanov participated in the 133rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and related meetings took place in Geneva, Switzerland from 17 to 21 October 2015. The theme of the Assembly`s General debate was the moral and economic imperative for fairer, smarter and more humane migration. More than 670 parliamentarians from 134 countries, including 94 Speakers and Deputy Speakers of Parliament attended the 133rd IPU Assembly. The many facets and challenges of migration, counter-terrorism and the threat to democracy and individual privacy in the digital age were among key issues being addressed by the Assembly.
