Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye visited the TURKPA Secretary General

On 27 November 2025, TURKPA Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan welcomed the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Serdar Çam, who arrived together with his delegation, at the International TURKPA Secretariat. Secretary General Hasan noted that TURKPA is developing a new framework aimed at better aligning the national interests of the Turkic States with international parliamentary cooperation. He emphasized that this initiative will reinforce parliamentary diplomacy and foster a more structured and coherent partnership among member countries. Ambassador Hasan also underlined that the current period presents an important opportunity to enhance regional stability and deepen cooperation, stressing the importance of advancing legislative coordination and supporting joint initiatives that elevate the international visibility of the Turkic States. For his part, Deputy Minister Çam highlighted that Secretary General Ambassador Hasan, now beginning his second term in office, is well positioned to deliver substantial and impactful contributions to TURKPA, drawing on his extensive experience, institutional knowledge and strong leadership. He conveyed his sincere congratulations on Ambassador Hasan’s appointment as Secretary General and expressed confidence that his renewed mandate will further strengthen the Assembly’s work and advance its strategic objectives. Mr. Çam noted that the world and the broader region have entered an irreversible period of transformation, underlining that navigating this environment requires skill, experience and strategic foresight. He emphasized TURKPA’s special role in ensuring that political developments remain aligned with the legislative process and highlighted the importance of coordinated soft-power instruments. He also stressed the significance of commemorating the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress in Baku as a milestone for the Turkic world. The meeting was also attended by Secretary of the TURKPA Commission, Mr. Kadir Yaman; Chief of Protocol, Mr. Yadigar Mammadov; Research Expert, Ms. Kamila Muzaffarli; and Assistant to the Secretary General, Ms. Takhmina Bakieva.
