Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Alim Bayel, pays a visit to TURKPA International Secretariat

On 16 February 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Alim Bayel, together with the Counselors of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yedil Mirzakhanov and Anel Kenzhina, and First Secretary Daniyar Batalov, paid a visit to the International Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States (TURKPA), and met with the Secretary General of TURKPA, Ambassador Ramil Hasan. Expressing his appreciation for the visit of the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ambassador Ramil Hasan, underscored Kazakhstan’s active and constructive role in advancing cooperation within the Turkic world. During the meeting, the Secretary General noted that TURKPA, as the second organization established after the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) to unite the Turkic states, remains firmly committed to acting in the shared interests of the development of its fraternal member countries. Ambassador Hasan also provided information on upcoming measures aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the Organization’s activities, including meetings of TURKPA commissions, as well as initiatives undertaken within the framework of parliamentary diplomacy and intergovernmental cooperation. At the same time, the Secretary General informed on the international conference on the theme “New Cooperation in Eurasia: The Role of TURKPA and Developing Strategic Relations – Parliamentary Diplomacy”, to be held in Istanbul in May of this year. In turn, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Alim Bayel, noted that the TURKPA International Secretariat, which he was visiting for the first time, stands as one of the most prominent political institutions within the Turkic world. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Bayel presented a letter of invitation addressed to him by the Minister of Referendum Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ermek Kosherbayev. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Secretary General Talgat Aduov, Secretary of Commission Bauyrzhan Datkayev, and Public Relations Officer Fidan Majidli.
