Graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Literature. Completed M.A. and PhD in the field of Old Turkish Literature at Gazi University Institute of Social Sciences.

At Gazi University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature awarded the titles of assistant professor in 1995, associate professor in 2000 and professor in 2005.

Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Head of the Department, Member of the Interuniversity Board (ÜAK) Education Commission, Member of ÜAK Associate Professorship Keyword Determination Commission, Jury Member of YÖK (Council of Higher Education) Outstanding Achievement Awards Determination.

Between 2008-2017 worked as the founding rector of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University.

In 2019 became the first candidate of female mayor in history of Nevşehir city as the mayoral candidate of the Nationalist Movement Party in the local elections. Elected in Nevşehir as the first female Deputy of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye of the twenty-eighth convocation. Since 2021 been working as the Deputy Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party.

Fluent English, intermediate Persian and very good Ottoman Turkish.
