Graduated from Tokat Teacher Training School. Educator – Businessman.

After 10 years as a teacher moved to the private sector. For 33 years continued his commercial activities as a company manager. Was a member of SODEP (Social Democracy Party), Vice Provincial Chairman during the merger of SHP (the Social Democratic People's Party) and CHP (the Republican People's Party). Between 1995-1999 worked as CHP Tokat Provincial Chairman and served 2 terms as a CHP Assembly Delegate.

Member of Atatürkist Thought Association, Aziz Nesin Foundation, Uğur Mumcu Investigative Journalism Foundation, Natural Life Protection Foundation, TEMA Foundation, Turkish Disabled People's Association, Tokat City Council, TESKAD, Turkish Aid Lovers Association, Tokat Culture and Art Association.

On 1 November 2015 elected as Tokat deputy of the GNAT of the twenty-sixth convocation and Member of the Plan Budget Commission. On 24 June 2018 elected as Tokat deputy of the twenty-seventh convocation. On 14 May 2023 also elected as Tokat deputy of the twenty-eighth convocation.
