Constructive meetings in Bishkek

“There are a lot of work to do for the institutes of Turkic cooperation”, said TurkPA Secretary General Jandos Asanov at the meeting with the teachers and students of Kyrgyz-Turk Manas University. J.Asanov drew attention to the fact that there was still insufficient level of mutual information flow among the Turkic-speaking countries and noted that great information flow meant greater integration.

Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balcı expressed readiness to hold with TurkPA a number of joint events keeping in mind the commencement of the anticipated chairmanship of Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan in TurkPA in the coming months. University’s First Deputy Rector Mr Asylbek Kalmurzayev and other members of University’s management were present at the discussions.

TurkPA Secretary General Jandos Asanov at his lecture at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that there were a number of organisations in the world based on commonness of historic roots, culture and languages. J.Asanov stated that TurkPA operates fully in line with the norms and principles enshrined at the United Nations’ Charter.

J.Asanov also talked bilaterally to the Rector of the Academy Mr Talaibek Kydyrov.

A useful exchange of views took place at the meeting with Mr Azamat Dikambaev, Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies of the Kyrgyz Republic. TurkPA Secretary General said that the work of the Turkic cooperation institutes gives additional impetus to strengthening of ties among the countries of the region.

TurkPA Deputy Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov also participated at the meetings in Bishkek.
