On 2 November 2023, Experts group for elaboration of the draft Model Law “On the basics of safety and quality of products, put into circulation” held its first meeting in an online format. The Model Law will be developed within the framework of the Commission on Economic Cooperation in accordance with the TURKPA Action Plan for 2024.

Deputy Secretary General Talgat Aduov made an opening speech. In his speech, Mr. Aduov stressed the importance of approximating legislation regulating the safety and quality of products put into circulation in the TURKPA region. The meeting was moderated by Bauyrzhan Datkayev, Secretary of the Commission on Economic Cooperation. Experts from the TURKPA member countries expressed their opinions and suggestions on the draft document and agreed to hold the second meeting on 30 November 2023.
