On 25 September 2023, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University Prof. Dr. Muhittin Şimşek paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er.

Speaking about the activities of the University, Mr. Şimşek expressed his confidence for the successful development of cooperation between the University and TURKPA. During the meeting Mr. Şimşek presented to the Secretary General the recently published encyclopedic book “Dictionary of Names in Turkic Literature” that was developed for about 10 years by the University. He also informed the Secretary General that about 1,500 scholars were involved in the creation of 20-volume set of books. Mr. Şimşek added that the dictionary contains the materials describing life and works of well-known figures of Turkic world born until 1985.

The Secretary General expressed his pleasure and gratitude to Mr. Şimşek and briefed on the work being carried out within the frame of the Assembly.
