Secretary General held meeting with Kazakh Ambassador

On 31 January 2018, Secretary General Mr. Altynbek Mamaiusupov visited the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Baku and held a meeting with the Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Mr. Beibit Isabayev.

During the meeting, Mr. Mamaiusupov informed ambassador on the forthcoming activities of the organisation and exchanged views on the work related to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of TURKPA in 2018. Secretary General emphasized that TURKPA has evolved as a significant platform of the inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Turkic states based on open dialogue, global amity and peace.

Mr. Isabayev highly appreciated the efforts of TURKPA in developing cooperation between the Turkic speaking countries and emphasized that Kazakhstan would render a full support to all the initiatives and undertakings of the Assembly.

The parties also discussed issues of the visit of the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin to Baku and TURKPA headquarters.
