On 6 March 2019, delegation led by Mr. Mustafa Şentop, newly elected Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) and TURKPA Chairman-in-Office and Mr. Ogtay Asadov, Chairman of Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan paid a visit to the TURKPA Secretariat.

The heads of parliaments were welcomed by the TURKPA Secretary General Mr. Altynbek Mamaiusupov and Deputy Secretaries General Mr. Fuad Alakbarov, Mr. Nauryz Aidarov and Mr. Ali Yıldız.

During the meeting, Secretary General informed participants on the current and future activities to be held in 2019 under the Turkish Chairmanship-in-Office. Mr. Şentop highly appreciated the activities of the Assembly in the development of mutually beneficial parliamentary cooperation and dialogue among the Turkic-speaking countries.

GNAT Speaker was accompanied by the delegation of Turkish parliamentarians.
