TURKPA participated at international conference in Kazakhstan

On 27 November 2019, TURKPA delegation headed by Secretary General Mr. Altynbek Mamaiusupov attended the international parliamentary conference titled “Institution of Presidency: Kazakhstan’s Model” dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.

Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan addressed the opening ceremony. Noting that Kazakhstan will mark 30th anniversary of the official introduction of the institution of the presidency, Chairman stressed that full-scale reforms have been carried out under the leadership of the First President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev resulted in steady economic growth, fair social policy, democratization of society. Mr. Nigmatulin added that the current President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev provides further successful development of the country continuing the strategic course of Elbasy.

In his speech, Secretary General emphasized the contribution of Elbasy to the process of institutionalization of cooperation among the Turkic-speaking countries and active participation of the Parliament of Kazakhstan in the work of the Assembly.

Parliamentarians from the TURKPA member countries, as well as other countries and representatives of international organizations participated at the conference.

Secretary of TURKPA Commission Ms. Saida Armina also took part in the event.
