On 10 September 2020, Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov held a video call with Mr. Sergio Piazzi, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM).

Both Secretaries General informed each other on the activities of their related organizations and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, particularly such as counter-terrorism, experience exchange programs, interaction in the field of research services, support to small and medium-sized businesses and movement of persons during COVID-19 pandemic.

The parties discussed future cooperation opportunities between the Assemblies and agreed to collaborate on drafting a memorandum of understanding.
