On 10 November 2020, Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov took part in the videoconference “Hungarian Turkology” dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the eminent turkologist Gyula Nemeth.
The event organized by the International Turkic Academy was attended by Sándor Lezsák, Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, ambassadors and representatives of academic circles.
Mr. Mamaiusupov underlined the significance of historical researches and promotion of cultural and spiritual values of Turkic peoples and the essential role of Gyula Nemeth heritage in this context. Secretary General highly appreciated the regular and active participation of Hungary in the Turkic institutional cooperation and noted that comprehensive study and promotion of Gyula Nemeth heritage could also make an immense contribution to the further development of relations of Hungary with Turkic-speaking countries.
In his speech, Secretary General extended his congratulations to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan on the successful termination of the military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh and ensuring the territorial integrity.
