On 27 November 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Ruslan Kazakbaev received Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov.

Secretary General congratulated Mr. Kazakbaev on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. He briefed the Minister on the activities of TURKPA and its interactions with Turkic cooperation institutions, particularly on the work being carried out by the Assembly at the background of COVID-19 pandemic and its future events.

In his turn, Minister informed on the current situation in the Kyrgyz Republic and constitutional reforms, having mentioned that processes in the country take place in line with the Constitution.

The parties also exchanged views on participation of the TURKPA election observation mission in the monitoring of the upcoming presidential elections to be held in the Kyrgyz Republic on 10 January 2021.

Mr. Kazakbaev expressed readiness to further support the activities of the Assembly.
