On 31 March 2021, Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov attended the Informal Summit of the Turkic Council took place in an online format.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Honorary Chairman of the Turkic Council and the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán and Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev delivered speeches at the summit.

The documentary about the city of Turkestan was shown at the opening of the event. Noting the significance of promotion and global presentation of Turkic heritage and common values, the participants stressed the special role of Turkestan as the sacred city and Turkestan was proclaimed as the spiritual capital of the Turkic world.

Heads of States exchanged views on current state and further development of cooperation among the countries.
