On 6 May 2021, Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov met with the President of Turkish Red Crescent Society Mr. Kerem Kınık.

The parties discussed the Kyrgyz-Tajik conflict and current situation following the border clashes and exchanged views on Turkey’s assistance in this context.

In the course of the meeting, it was noted that Turkish Red Crescent team would arrive in the conflict area within days and a fundraising campaign is active to collect necessary funds to render humanitarian aid to the victims. The President mentioned that a part of humanitarian aid would be sent in the short term.
