On 7 July 2023, TURKPA Election Observation Mission headed by member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Haluk İpek and composed of the parliamentarians from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Türkiye, as well as the representatives of the TURKPA Secretariat started its work in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Mission held meeting with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zainiddin Nizamkhodjayev.

Mr. Nizamkhodjayev informed the Mission about the preparations for the early presidential election and electoral process, including voter registration and registration of candidates. Chairman of the CEC replied to the questions of the TURKPA observers.

The Mission wished success to brotherly Uzbekistan in holding the upcoming election.
