On 18-19 June 2023, Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er attended the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and TURKSOY.

On 18 June, the participants visited an exhibition of paintings, photographs and crafts, and became acquainted with the examples of national cuisine of Turkic peoples at the Uzbek State Museum of Applied Arts.

On 19 June, a festive Gala Concert was held with the participation of people's artists of the TURKSOY member countries. The concert program was opened by the State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khayriddin Sultanov, who delivered the message of congratulation on behalf of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY.

Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov also addressed the event.

During the event, Mr. Nazarbekov was awarded the Gold Medal of TURKSOY in recognition of his valuable service and contribution to the Turkic World. The award was presented by the Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultanbay Raev. The honored state, public and cultural figures of the Republic of Uzbekistan were also awarded the jubilee medals.

The concert program continued with national songs and dances of the Turkic peoples.
