On 14 January 2022, Chairman of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Talant Mamytov received the Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er, within the frame of his official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Head of Parliament congratulated Mr. Er on his assumption of office as Secretary General and expressed his confidence that as an experienced diplomat he will provide significant contribution to strengthening parliamentary relations between TURKPA member states.

In his turn, Secretary General thanked the Chairman and also congratulated him on the occasion of his re-election as Speaker of the Parliament.

Underscoring the significant role of TURKPA for Turkic Speaking Countries, Mr. Mamytov noted that Kyrgyz side will further provide full support to the activities of the Assembly.

The parties discussed the current and future activities of TURKPA, as well as exchanged views on the preparations for the 11th Plenary Session to be held in the second half of 2022 in Kyrgyzstan.
