On 2 June 2023, Deputy Secretary General Fuad Alakbarov and Secretary of the Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations Kadir Yaman paid a courtesy visit to Hamid Eldeleklioğlu, General Manager of Turkish Airlines (THY) Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the General Manager of THY Azerbaijan informed on the current position of the THY as a flag carrier in its field. In their turn, TURKPA representatives shared information about the activities of TURKPA as an inter-parliamentary organization of Turkic states.

Deputy Secretary General Fuad Alakbarov expressed gratitude to THY Azerbaijan Office, which delivered the aid of TURKPA consisting of power generators of different capacities to the earthquake-affected areas in the first days following the catastrophic earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023 that caused loss of thousands of lives, left thousands of injured and heavy destruction, and affected 11 provinces.
