On 28 February 2022, Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er paid a courtesy call to Mr. Serkan Kayalar, President of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
Mr. Kayalar congratulated Secretary General on his assumption of office and wished all the best in future endeavors. In the course of their meeting, the parties exchanged views on possible opportunities for future cooperation.
TİKA was first established in 1992 as an organization for providing technical assistance to support the Turkic States in Central Asia and Caucasia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Since 2002, however, in line with multi-dimensional foreign policy of Turkish Government, aid activities have been expanded to encompass almost all developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Today, TİKA works in more than 150 countries through its 62 Programme Coordination Offices located in 60 countries across 5 continents.
