On 13 May 2022, TURKPA took part at the Conference entitled "Shusha Declaration and the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan-Türkiye diplomatic relations" co-organized by the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye (SAM) in Baku.
The conference was attended by ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of Turkic states, representatives of think tanks and academic circles.
The opening session of the event was addressed by Chairman of the AIR Center Mr. Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the SAM Mr. Ufuk Ulutaş and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye Mr. Cahit Bağcı. The opening ceremony was followed by two panel sessions dedicated to the discussion of political and military relations, and relations in the field of energy, transport and economy between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, respectively.
Noting the achievements of the past 30 years, the participants underlined the Shusha Declaration as the next stage of historic relations of the two fraternal countries. They stressed the unique and unprecedented level of cooperation of the countries and its significance, particularly against the backdrop of current geopolitical situation. The participants noted the contribution of regional mechanisms developed between the countries to the development and prosperity of the region.
