On 3 June 2022, TURKPA Referendum Observation Mission headed by Mr. Recep Şeker, member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, and composed of the parliamentarians from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye, as well as the representatives of the TURKPA Secretariat commenced its work in Kazakhstan.
The Mission met with Mr. Yerlan Koshanov, TURKPA Chairman-in-Office, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Head of Parliament noted that the meeting was taking place on the eve of the crucial historical period for the country. Mr. Koshanov mentioned the significance of international observation of the referendum and expressed gratitude to the TURKPA Mission for their activities being carried out during the conduct of the referendum.
Members of the Mission expressed conviction that the Constitutional reforms would give impetus to the further development of the country and mark the beginning of the positive transformations for the fraternal people of Kazakhstan and entire Turkic World.
In the course of the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation within the Assembly.
