The Eleventh Meeting of the Council of TURKPA hosted by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic was held on 24 June 2022, in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic. Members of the Council – Chairperson of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mrs. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Talant Mamytov, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Mr. Mustafa Şentop, as well as Secretary General Mr. Mehmet Süreyya Er took part at the meeting. A handover ceremony of the TURKPA Chairmanship from the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic was held during the meeting. Heads of Parliament delivered opening speeches. Mr. Talant Mamytov, TURKPA Chairman-in-Office expressed gratitude to his Kazakhstani counterpart for their praiseworthy work in the past period during the Chairmanship of Kazakhstan.

The Council discussed the agenda items and took a number of crucial decisions. During the meeting, it was decided to change the name of the "Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking Countries" to the "Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States". The Council adopted the new flag and logo of the Assembly, and approved the TURKPA Strategic Roadmap 2023-2028, covering the priority areas of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
