Meeting with member of Parliament of Kazakhstan in the TURKPA Secretariat

On 28 February 2012 TURKPA Secretary General Mr. Ramil Hasanov held a meeting with Mr. Oralbay Abdikarimov, member and former Chairman of Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. Greeting the guest TURKPA Secretary General gave detailed information about Assemblys history, activity in the field of inter-parliamentary cooperation, interaction with international organizations such as OSCE, European Parliament, Inter-Parliamentary Union and with other inter-parliamentary institutions in the framework of international cooperation, as well as on steps taken for developing and strengthening political and economic dialogue between states by means of parliamentary diplomacy. At the same time, Mr. Ramil Hasanov informed the guest about preparation work for the 3rd Plenary Session of TURKPA which is expected to be held in June of the current year in Kyrgyzstan. Also Secretary General gave enhanced information on organizations future action plan, prospects, activities aiming to grant TURKPA an observer status in the UN General Assembly and stressed that necessary steps were taken for establishing contacts with Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to join their national parliaments to the Assembly. Mr. Abdikarimov expressed his gratitude for sincere reception and talked about new contribution of TURKPA to the development of relations between countries in political, cultural, social fields and noted that Kazakhstan will comprehensively support TURKPA`s activities in the future. Mr. Mels Semqaliyev, Deputy Secretary General and representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan also participated at the meeting. At the end of the meeting Mr. Abdikarimov wrote his cordial words to the memorial book and then family photo was taken.
