The Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) condemns in the strongest terms the airstrike on a hospital in Gaza on 17 October 2023 that killed hundreds of civilians and injured many more.

The Secretariat emphasizes that it is essential to respect the sanctity of hospitals and medical personnel, and that denying people access to treatment and assistance is a violation of international human rights law.

Based on the fact that peace will have no losers, TURKPA hopes that an immediate ceasefire will be established to protect the right to life of the civilians.
