The flags of the TURKPA member countries at the Secretariat were lowered at half-mast on 10 January 2022 that was declared as a national mourning day by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Reiterating its solidarity with fraternal people and leadership of Kazakhstan, TURKPA stands with the Kazakh people and pays tribute to the memory of the victims of tragic events happened in a number of regions of Kazakhstan.

The Assembly expresses its deepest condolences to the families of those died during the incidents and wishes fast recovery of the injured.
