TÜRKPA Hukuk İşleri Komisyonu Birinci Toplantısı

First meeting of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs was held on 19-21 December 2011 in Ankara. The report and proposals on “Functions and duties of the National Parliaments of TURKPA in the constitutional system and role of the parliamentarians” were discussed in the meeting.

Members of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey and staff members of the TURKPA Secretariat participated in the meeting headed by Mr. Haluk İpek, Chairman of the Commission, member of the Parliament of the Republic of Turkey.

Proposals, after their approval by the Commission, was presented for adoption in the III plenary session of TURKPA that was held in Bishkek in 2012. Then these documents were sent to the parliaments of member countries, as recommendations, with the view of drafting new legislation in this field.
