Message of the Secretary General of TURKPA on 17 November – National Revival Day

On behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) and on my own behalf, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of 17 November – National Revival Day. This momentous date, as a symbol of unbending will of the Azerbaijani people on the path to independence, marked the beginning of a historic stage that made a significant contribution to the establishment of modern statehood and the strengthening of national identity. The beginning of this historic path, leading towards national progress, was characterized by sustainable establishment of the idea of independence within public consciousness. Azerbaijan’s sovereignty, founded on statehood traditions, national self-awareness, and historical memory, is of value and significance for the entire Turkic World. As TURKPA, we congratulate the people of Azerbaijan on this remarkable day, and extend our heartfelt wishes for state independence, peace, stability, prosperity, and fraternal values to remain eternal.
